Call to Caucus

Hello Fellow Democrats!

It is time to pick delegates for the Conventions.  This year everything will be done differently due to the restriction of gathering for an assembled or an unassembled caucus.  The DVPA has decided we will do a virtual unassembled caucus.  All applications for becoming a candidate and to vote on our candidates will be done on line and the DVPA will handle it all.  Giles County has been allocated 3 state delegates (2 Biden, 1 Sanders, and 1 Biden alternate).

If you would like to apply to be a delegate or apply to be able to participate in voting for the delegates, please request the "DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF VIRGINIA 2020 CALL TO CAUCUS TO ELECT STATE DELEGATES" pdf file from me via email: deweiss@pemtel.net

I think the handout will answer all your questions, if not I will try, or there is a phone number in the document you may call.  There are links embedded for pre-filing to become a delegate and to vote on the delegates.  As in the past, if we do not have more applicants than allotted delegates, there will be no voting during the caucus time (4/18-4/20).

I would like to take this opportunity to encourage any of you to run for delegate if you have a desire to participate in this process and all of you to sign up to vote for the delegates from our county.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any help.Thank you for your support.
