Thanks to Jonathan, Denise, Jim S., James S. and Daniel for canvassing last Saturday afternoon. We knocked on 120 doors and made 48 contacts, in less than 2 hours. Several of us had good conversations with the undecideds. For me, it was nice talking to people one on one and seeing some beautiful neighborhoods in Pearisburg.
Today, a team from the Blacksburg office is canvassing in Giles County. And, we have the Democratic Party Booth at the Pembroke Heritage Festival which will feature lots of Obama signs, buttons, and bumper stickers.
You have probably noticed more Obama/Biden signs going up everyday. Thanks to Chris, Willi, Dave, and others who are putting up the large signs. These signs will remind drivers of the support that Barack Obama has in Giles County.
Obama is up in several Virginia polls but the race is very tight which means we must double our efforts to reach those undecided voters.
